Bluebonnet Learning in DMAC

TAG
eLearning:

Bluebonnet Learning assessments provide a structured, TEKS-aligned option to support your instructional planning and student progress monitoring.

Locate Bluebonnet Learning tests, items, and passages within DMAC's TAG application. This is available at no additional cost, and there are no extra steps needed to access the content. If your school has purchased TAG and TEKScore, you can administer Bluebonnet tests directly through DMAC.

Here are some helpful tips as you navigate through using the Bluebonnet Learning content. Please remember that we are here to help you through every step. Please contact our Helpdesk if you have any questions!

Find and Administer Bluebonnet tests

From the TAG Test Library

  • Select the Content Area and Course

  • Choose “Bluebonnet” as the Source

  • Click on the Keywords (yellow boxes) below each test name to filter tests by Unit, Test Version, and how the test is administered. This includes whether it’s teacher-led, whole group, or one-on-one.

  • Select the test, click the export icon to open the test key in TEKScore to administer the test.

View Source Materials for Tests

DMAC takes the content provided by TEA as an import (QTI) file or a paper version and uploads it into TAG for schools to use. Click the view source link to preview the information on each test, including the assessment type, standards, item type, question stem, prompt, and answer choices for QTI files or the source material from paper tests.

Copy and Modify Bluebonnet Tests

Make a copy of tests using the copy icon. Once copied, you can:

  • Remove or add items to an assessment

  • Copy and replace items to adjust responses

  • Add Content and Language Supports

Provide Feedback for Bluebonnet Tests/Items

Use the Feedback icon to provide feedback for any test or individual item. Click the icon, enter text, and hit Submit.

Update Scoring

From the Test Key list in TEKScore, click the Edit icon next to a test. Click on the Scoring tab. Change the Factor to zero (0) to collect data for the items without counting the score against the students. This can be done before or after students have tested, and will rescore the tests when the factor change is saved.

Override Answers

Instantly update student scores by overriding certain item types from Responses/Online Sessions or Responses/Override in TEKScore.
