- The Scoring tab displays the Max Score, Mastery Score, Factor, Points and Weight of each item on a test. Scoring is based on the item type and how many answer choices or points are available.
- Extended Text items are teacher-scored from the responses and rubric section of TEKScore; the max default is set in TAG when the item is created.
- To adjust the weight of rubric items, change the factor of the non-rubric questions to evenly distribute the weight (max range of rubric items is 10).
- Max Score - the highest number of points awarded for an item.
- Mastery Score - a flag indicating a student mastered a test question (shown in some reports).
- Factor - changes how much a question is worth (points and weight). Change the factor to zero to test knowledge without the item counting against the score.
- Points - how many points an item is worth. Weight - the percentage an item is worth on a test.
- Score Like STAAR: test keys that meet the STAAR scoring criteria will see the 'Use STAAR Scoring' option on the Scoring tab (scales new item types over 2 points down to a 2-point item).
