Key Tab

Enter answers and standards on the Key tab so TEKScore can score the assessment.

Helpful Tips

Use the Key tab to enter the correct responses and attach them to the appropriate standards for data analysis using the Standards drop-down (TEKS SE, TEKS Dual Coding, Reporting Categories, ELPS, or AP).
Enter the number of Items (questions) and click Apply.
For single response items, stay in a consecutive pattern (alternating vs. non-alternating) when entering answers.
Enter an 'R' for Rubric/extended text, and numeric values for numeric questions (ex: 50.25; 0.7865; 1.2).
With SE selected from the Standards drop-down, use the pop-up window to attach SEs to individual questions. Hover over SEs to see a description.
Color-coding: Readiness = green; Supporting = blue; Process = purple.
Use the Year or Type filters to narrow the list. Click Save after any changes.
An 'Auto Assign' button attaches reporting categories with previously selected SEs.
Please note: For online testing, export test keys from the TAG application; the Key tab then displays the item type (ex: Multiple Response, Hot Spot).
