Share Tests

Share TAG tests by User or Share Group. This can be done by district, campus, or teacher logins. Tests can be shared as view only, or you can provide Editor access.

Helpful Tips

  • New tests created in TAG are User Tests and can only be viewed or edited by the user who created them unless they are shared.
  • Tests can be shared with individual users or predefined groups.
  • From the Test Library, locate your test, select Edit, then select the Share icon.

Sharing a Test

  • Use the campus and role filters to locate users, then select Add next to each person you want to share the test with.
  • Current users with access appear on the right with their Name, Role, and Editor status.
  • Users without Editor rights can still:
    • Preview or copy the test.
    • Export the test to TEKScore.
    • Print a Test Key.
  • Check Editor to allow a user to make changes to the test, such as modifying or reordering questions.
  • Select Enable All Editors to give editing rights to everyone currently added.

Managing Shared Access

  • District Administrators can create Test Share Groups to quickly share tests with predefined groups of users.
  • Select Remove next to an individual to remove their access, or Remove All to remove access for everyone.
  • Close the Share window to return to the test.

The Share settings can also be accessed from Test Settings while working with a test.

When you create a new test in the TAG application, it becomes a User test, which
can only be seen and edited by your login.
In some cases, schools will have individuals create district-wide assessments
that need to be shared with others.
This can be done on a few screens.
From the Test Library, locate your test and click the Edit icon next to a test
name.
Then click the Share icon at the top.
A pop-up appears, allowing you to select individual users or pull from a
predefined group list.
When selecting individuals, use the drop-down to locate the appropriate campus
or use the buttons to select the roles by district, campus, or teacher.
Click the Add button next to any names you wish to share the test with.
Current users appear on the right.
Notice the Name, Role, and Editor columns.
If the Editor role is not checked, those users can still see the test in TAG,
which means they have options to preview the test, copy the test, export it to
TEKScore, and print a test key.
If you want to give others full editor rights to the test, meaning they can
reorder questions, modify questions, and so forth, make sure that they have the
editor column checked.
You can also click the "Enable All Editors" button at the top.
District Administrators can use the Test Share Groups setting in TAG to also
create predefined groups.
This saves time by avoiding the need to locate the same individuals.
The “Remove All” button removes access for all current users, or you can click
“Remove” next to individual names.
Close the pop-up to return to the test edit screen.
Another way to access the Share Settings for individual tests is to click the
Settings icon while adding items to a test; the Share button is there as well.
