Ruler Tool

Add a Ruler tool to questions when creating items in TAG.
Students can use the ruler to measure parts of a question or response when testing online.
We will begin with an already completed question.
To enable the ruler, check the box next to the language.
A ruler appears on the screen that can be used to measure graphics that are uploaded to the question or response areas.
Please note, the ruler is a fixed size.
Adjust graphics to ensure students can measure items accurately.
To resize, click on the corners and drag the outer edges of the image.
Move the ruler over images to check measurements and continue resizing, as needed.
Use the small circle to the right of the tool to rotate the ruler.
Click the close button to hide or Reset to return to its original position.
To open the ruler once closed, click on the ruler icon at the top.
Click save after completing both the question and response fields and selecting the correct answer.
On the preview screen, you can see how students will see the item when testing.
The Ruler icon is shown to indicate it is active.
For Demo purposes, let's move to an online session to view this item on a test.
Students will click the Ruler icon at the top of the screen to activate the tool and drag it over any images that need to be measured.
Click close to hide the ruler.
Select an answer to complete the question.
