Restricted Content
Learn how restricted content works in TAG and how administrators limit which items and tests specific users can access.
Helpful Tips
- Restricted Content is where designated District Administrators manage access to separately purchased TEKSready and DMAC Pre- and Post-Test Items.
- Access is restricted by default and is typically limited to users who manage assessments related to student growth and TIA.
- Only the District Administrator initially granted access by DMAC can manage these settings. If no options appear on this screen, contact the DMAC Helpdesk.
Granting Access
- Select Settings > Restricted Content.
- Choose TEKSready or DMAC Pre-Post from the content source dropdown.
- The first time each school year you access a content source, accept the agreement confirming how the content will be used.
- Select Add next to each user who needs access.
- Keep the list of users with access intentionally limited.
- If your district purchases both item banks, access must be granted separately for each content source.
- To restrict a user from the content, simply do not add them to the access list.
From the top navigation bar in TAG, hover over Settings and select Restricted
Content.
This is where your district manages access to the separately purchased item
banks for TEKSready and DMAC Pre- and Post-Test Items.
Access to these areas is generally more limited, and only a handful of people at
your school will have access.
It's more commonly used by Admins because the assessments relate to student
growth and TIA-measures for teachers.
Only the District Administrator initially granted access by DMAC can manage
these settings.
If you need access to this area but nothing appears on the screen, please
contact our Helpdesk.
From the Restricted Content screen, select either TEKSready or DMAC Pre-Post as
the content source from the dropdown.
The first time you do this, you'll be asked to accept an agreement confirming
how this content will be used, including for TIA.
A district administrator only has to accept this once per school year, for each
content source.
Once the agreement is accepted, you'll see a list of users in your district.
Click Add next to anyone who needs access, and that content source will appear
for them in TAG.
Keep this list intentionally small.
If your school purchases both additional item banks, you will have to provide
access per content source.
Because access to this content is restricted by default, if you don't want
someone to see the information in TAG, simply don't add them here on these
screens.
