Preview Tests
Preview assessments to see the order of test questions and to test interactive elements.
Helpful Tips
- From the Test Library, select the Preview icon (magnifying glass) next to a test to see how the assessment will appear to students.
- Preview displays the question order, item formatting, and online functionality of the test.
Using Preview
- Test interactive item features such as drop-down lists and short-answer questions.
- Review formatting such as bold or italicized text.
- When available, select View Source for additional information about the test.
- The Preview icon is also available while editing tests and can be used to view individual items or entire passages.
From the Test Library in TAG, after you have filtered to a list of tests, use the Preview icon or magnifying glass to the right of a test name to open a pop-up displaying the question order and how the test items will look online for students.
Here you can test the functionality of items and see how things like drop-down lists or short answer questions appear.
It also shows any formatting applied, such as italicized or bolded text.
In some cases, tests may have a View Source link.
You can also click this area to view more information about the test.
The preview icon works the same in other areas of TAG.
When you are editing a test, you can click the preview icon to view entire passages or individual items.
