Graphing Advanced Item

From the New Item and Math section, the Graphing item type allows students to use a coordinate grid to complete their answer.
This video displays how to use the Advanced option where the Student can graph one or two inequalities and select the solution set based on the question.
Click the box or green plus icon.
You can see here that we have different areas to format, select your options and enter the correct answer.
On the top right, select English or Spanish.
Click here to add a protractor or a ruler to the item.
Use the editing tools provided to format.
Make sure to use this first icon to paste in plain text when copying from another source.
For demo purposes, we are starting with everything already entered in.
With the question formatted, select Advanced.
Under Solution Sets, select 1 or 2 inequalities from the drop-down.
Under the Grid section, there are options to only show the first quadrant or to allow Half Steps.
Use the drop-downs to adjust the X and Y Axis which changes the size of the graph in the correct response section.
Moving to the Correct Response section, first, select the Graph 1 button to graph the line and choose the line style.
To graph a line, select two points on the coordinate plane and a line connects the points.
Next, click on the Solution Set and identify the correctly shaded region.
Click into the title or labels to add text.
Nothing appears on the question if text isn't entered.
Click Save on the top when finished.
A pop-up appears allowing you to select standards.
Select the Content Area, adopted year and select the primary course and Student Expectation.
You also have the option to dual code.
Click save.
From this screen, use the icons to make edits to the question, or details on the right.
Use this icon to test how the item reads for text-to-speech.
To add 'Related content', click the Add icon.
Related content, such as reading passages, Maps, and Charts, can be attached to more than one assessment item.
This makes tests easier to organize.
You can also assign keywords to items making them easier to search for in the future.
Click the add icon and put each new keyword or phrase on a new line.
Click save to return to the previous screen.
Lastly, you can test what a student sees in the preview window.
Make sure you can enter in the correct answer, or click the edit icon to go back and make adjustments.
