Alternate Correct Response
TAG allows up to 20 alternate correct responses for applicable question types, making it easier to account for variations in student answers. Alternate responses can be added to Equation Editor, Short Text, or Inline Text items.

Alternate correct responses are available for:
- Equation Editor
- Short Text
- Inline Text
Adding Alternate Correct Responses
- Edit the item and locate the Responses section.
- Select Add Alternate Correct to enter additional acceptable answers.
- Add up to 20 alternate responses.
- Select Save when finished.
Viewing Alternate Responses
- Select the Preview icon next to the item.
- A green check icon indicates that alternate correct responses have been added.
- Select the green check to view the additional accepted responses.

For demo purposes, I am going to edit an Equation Editor item.
Scroll down to the responses section of the item, and click Add Alternate Correct to enter additional answer choices.
Enter up to 20 responses.
Click Save at the top.
To return to the item library, click Items from the top bar.
To preview alternate correct responses, click the preview icon next to the question.
A green check icon indicates that additional responses have been added.
Click the green checkmark to view them.
