Add Items to Test

After creating a new test in TAG, the next step is to use the filters on the Test Items page to quickly find what you need and add items to your test.
Filter by Language, Content Area, Course, TEKS Year, Source, or SE.
It's not necessary to select everything for items to appear.
After clicking the Search button, the boxes to the right of the source indicate the total items available and how many per category.
The Sources available depend on your individual access, along with what content your school has purchased.
Grid view is the default, as seen here, and List View shows an expanded version with the items, graphics, and answer choices.
Use the Pages section to navigate through your results.
Some of the column headers are also sortable.
More ways to filter the list of items are to click on SE numbers, Passage Names in the purple links, or Keywords in the yellow boxes.
Notice how the total number changes after clicking a passage name.
This starts an Advanced Search. An you can also see it's filtered by Passage Title.
Add individual items to a test by checking the boxes to the left of each item.
Or, add all items from a search by clicking the box at the top of the column.
The total number of items added to the test appears next to the Test Name.
Once checked, items are automatically saved to the test.
Simply uncheck an item to remove it.
The blue square is a visual indicator that that question was tested for how it will read aloud if students are assigned the Text to Speech Testing support.
A green square indicates that there is at least one Content and Language support in the item.
Only students assigned the individual CLS support in Student Portfolio see the content and language supports during a test.
You can edit or add CLS to your User Items in TAG.
The preview icon opens a pop-up that displays the full question, correct answer, and more.
The Edit icon is available on User items to make changes to the question stem, answers, and how it's coded or aligned. To make changes to items without the edit icon, you will have to make a copy of them.
Use the feedback icon if you see anything that should be updated on an item. We check these regularly, and changes can be made quickly.
