Interim and Early Data Files
Work with Interim and early-year (BOY) data files, which the district uploads through Utilities so the results can be reported alongside STAAR and TELPAS.
Helpful Tips
District Administrators and Managers can upload Interim and Early Data Files through Utilities for use in State Assessment.
- Early Data Files provide preliminary STAAR performance information that can help identify students who may require additional instructional hours.
- Because Early Data Files are incomplete, only limited reports are available until complete STAAR data is received.
Downloading the File from Cambium
- In Cambium, open CRS > Download Student Results to access the Student Results Generator.
- Select the appropriate test, All Subjects, and All Students.
-
Under Generate, select:
- Report Type: Student Data File
- Report Format: TXT
- Output: Single Combined Data File
- Generate the file, then download and save it to your device.
- Do not open the file before uploading it to DMAC. Opening it in another program can remove leading zeros or alter the file format.
Uploading the File to DMAC
- Open Utilities and select Upload > Data Upload.
- Select the Select Files icon and choose the file from your device.
- Up to 10 files can be uploaded at one time.
- Enter a name for the file and select State Data as the file type.
- Verify the correct file type before uploading. Examples are available under More Information.
- Select the upload button to submit the files.
- Each upload automatically generates an email to the DMAC Help Desk.
Once the data has been processed and loaded into DMAC, available Interim and Early Data reports can be viewed in State Assessment.
