How to Add Content and Language Supports (CLS) in TAG
Open a test item in TAG
Select the CLS icon on the formatting toolbar
Highlight the text or graphic where you want to add support
Choose alternative content (text or image), then click Apply
Please Note: An image for CLS cannot exceed 350px (width) or 350px (height).
To edit or remove a support, highlight the same area and select the CLS icon again
Important: Only students assigned CLS supports in the Student Portfolio will see them during testing
How to Identify CLS in Test Items
Go to the Test Items list
Click on Advanced Search and select content/language supports
Look for the green box showing items with CLS supports
How to Assign CLS to Students
Open the Student Portfolio application
For multiple students: use Batch Operations and select Supports. Scroll to content and language supports
For an individual student:
Select the magnifying glass next to the student
Click Supports
Check the box under Content & Language by subject to assign supports
Click Save
How CLS Appears During Testing
Students can select supported text to view images or text aids
Supports may include visuals (like place value charts) or text that shows changes to a sentence
